Work at The Village at Providence Point continues on-schedule, with crews making steady progress as the project moves through its current phase.
Coordination and Compliance
The full construction team continues to meet regularly, keeping project leaders, contractors, engineers and consultants aligned on sequencing, safety and site activity. Daily inspections by City of Annapolis code officials are proceeding smoothly, and the team has found the process to be straightforward and well-managed.
Clearing Work Nearing Completion
The tree clearing phase is winding down. Crews are currently chipping and mulching the remaining material and expect to complete that work within about a week.
Underground Infrastructure Up Next
Following a planning meeting this week, the team is preparing to begin water line installation. Sewer line work was also discussed, with sequencing for that effort now being mapped out. While this work happens below the surface, it represents a critical step in the site's development.
Reforestation Planning
The team is discussing the possibility of starting a portion of the reforestation work ahead of schedule and will be seeking City approval to do so.
On a personal note, The Village at Providence Point is also working with a future resident who wishes to donate a cluster of trees as a memorial to her late husband. More details will be shared in a future update.
