Role on the Project: Lead Architect
What are you working on right now at The Village at Providence Point?
At this stage, the Perkins Eastman team is focused on coordinating closely with the construction manager and engineers to align design goals with field conditions. Our work ensures that the site layout, building placement, and exterior spaces support both environmental stewardship and resident experience.
What’s something happening on site that might not be obvious to the community?
Behind the scenes, we’re monitoring how design decisions protect existing tree canopy and integrate stormwater strategies into the landscape plan. These are technical decisions that happen early but have a major impact on long-term site health.
What experience does Perkins Eastman bring to senior living design?
Perkins Eastman has over four decades of experience in senior living architecture, designing environments that support independence, connection, and wellness for older adults. The firm combines global design expertise with deep knowledge of aging-friendly communities and has been recognized as a top practice in senior living architecture
What principle guides your work here?
We prioritize "people-centered design” – creating spaces that balance beauty, function, and environmental responsibility. Our goal is to help shape a community that feels comfortable, sustainable, and welcoming for years to come.
